ESTduct is our HVAC Ductwork estimating system for producing & managing contract tenders or bids. Estimating was the first ‘duct’ application that MAP wrote, so the current version’s origins can be traced back to over 25 years ago. The current generation of the software is a comprehensive estimating solution in it's own right, but it was developed in conjunction with our CAMduct and CADmep+ systems to enable full integration. With all 3 systems using a common database, fitting libraries and file formats the level of integration between them is seamless and unparalleled within the industry. ESTduct actually uses “real” ductwork fittings; the same ones used in CADmep+ & CAMduct, to generate part developments that provide the most accurate materials costs available. Prices are totalled from material content, workshop fabrication time and site installation time (where applicable). All 'bought out' products (round duct, grilles, dampers, etc.) are handled by a flexible price list structure with import/export facilities to leading industry suppliers.
The flexibility of the program enables the system to calculate prices for an infinite range of products. Lightning fast Estimate entry is done using any combination of Keyboard/Mouse, Digitiser or Direct CAD drawing takeoff. All Takeoff is specification driven (DW144, SMACNA, Etc.) for speed and accuracy. Summary screens allow for manipulation of profit margins, overheads & item rates to produce the desired total bid price. Surveying/Variation Tracking is included as standard to record all future modifications and amendments made to a contract.
